WHAT DRINKS DO YOU SERVE?
For those who enjoy award-winning wines, our Tasting House offers our visitors a wide variety of options. You can purchase by the taste, by the glass and by the bottle. Other beverage choices include beer, “frozen wine-a-ritas” (during our outdoor season), hard cider, sodas, juices, and bottled water.
WHEN IS A RESERVATION REQUIRED?
You don’t need to make a reservation for tastings unless you are coming in a limo or a party bus (many companies will arrange this for you). Due to our popularity, we must have this reservation in order to coordinate arrival times so we can appropriately accommodate each of these type vehicles. Please note that this does not reserve a table for you.
However, if you prefer, we do offer “reserved seating lunch” alternatives for as low as $29.99 pp plus tax which includes an appetizer, a luncheon selection , side of pasta salad or chips, and soft drink, and the aforementioned reserved seating on one of our tented decks or patio. This lunch alternative or others must be ordered and paid for in advance.
CAN YOU ACCOMMODATE A PARTY FOR AN OCCASION?
We have lovely full party packages that include a private deck area, servers, a buffet lunch with wonderful menus and party decor. Packages start at $42 pp. Private parties and showers are a special experience and take place on a tented deck or in our beautiful new private vineyard area. Affordable weddings and other events are our specialty!
DO YOU SELL FOOD?
On an a la carte basis, we have lots of good food for sale from a catering truck (during our outdoor season) including our famous “merlot meatballs,” numerous kinds of cheese platters at our gourmet artisanal cheese bar, as well as home baked pies during our outdoor season.
CAN WE PICNIC AT BHFV?
For visitors who choose to bring their own food, we do have a limited number of picnic tables available – but they go quickly on a first-come, first-served basis. Unlike the covered deck area, which is reserved for those who purchase our food, the picnic tables are exposed to the elements and may not be an option in bad weather (a disappointment, no matter where you plan a picnic). In addition, we do not allow coolers, picnic baskets or any outside beverages. You are welcome to unload your cooler at your table, however, and then store it in your car.
Catered food is not permitted but we do offer picnic packages to make for a more pleasurable experience. This allows you to a reserved space where you may picnic no matter the weather.
WHAT ABOUT TOURS?
For those who are interested in a tour, we can arrange tours of our vineyard for groups of 15 or more by appointment only and subject to weather conditions.
DO YOU SELL GIFTS AND SOUVENIRS?
For those who enjoy shopping, we have a wonderful selection of wine-related items, serving pieces and much more in our award-winning gift boutique. In addition, we have some fun t-shirts and aprons that make delightful souvenirs. You will also love the wide variety of beautiful fashion jewelry that is available for purchase.
If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. We look forward to welcoming you. Please call us at 631-369-0100 for reservations or if you have any other questions.
We look forward to your visit with us.
